Fall of 1972 my mother and father met while working at Sears in Kansas City, Mo. My mother worked in the toy department and my dad worked in farm and fencing. Come fall/winter my father helped set up for Christmas during the slow period for farm and fencing.

1973

June my mother graduated from High School.

Oct 1973 my parents got married.

1974

As some of you may known, this is when I was born. I will be trying to write this from the best of my knowledge and as honestly as possible with the information that I have to work with. When I was 11, I told GOD that I wanted to write a book. “Please give me this kind of life that I could write a book about”, I asked. Well, I don’t think I am all that interesting. But if anyone wishes to know more about me, well here it is…

I was born August 20th, 1974 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. My mother says I was a pain in the butt… lol. Just kidding… She said I was an easy baby to take care of, I slept all night and nothing dramatic happen with the exception of being dropped on my head… lol Just kidding 🙂

1975

At about 6 or 7 months I started talking and haven’t shut up since.

Around Spring; my father got a job up north, so my parents and I moved to White Cloud, Ks. White Cloud and Hiawatha, Ks is where my mothers family is from.

At 9 months I thew my bottle out of the crib, my mother asked if I didn’t want it anymore and I said NO. And I never took the bottle again… Never sucked my thumb and never took a pacifier.

Fall my parents moved to Riverside, Mo, a suburb of Kansas City.

1976

Sometime in 1976 my father enlisted into the Army.

Late 1976-1977 after my father got out of basic training and AIT, we moved to Fort Polk, Louisiana.

1977

Spring of 1977 my mother and I went to Fort Polk, Louisiana after my father found a place. Some time before we left Kansas City, my mother went to a drive up restaurant to get us some food and I thought it would be funny to lock my mother out of the car. It’s still funny today, lol. She had to call the police to help, and I laughed at the cop too. Eventually they were able to get in and I was in big trouble… lol.

They had to pop out the back side window (which was stationary, didn’t roll down); then reached threw and unlocked the front door. I was not very bright that day, my butt was though; bright red I am sure.

My mother cannot tell me much else about that year, other than the fact that it was a very hot year in Louisiana. I was a typical kid; nothing special happened that she can remember, nothing bad either.

1978

Jan. 3rd, 1978, my brother was born; but I was only what 3 1/2… so I don’t remember anything 🙂 I will have my parents fill in the blanks:

We lived in Louisiana and my father was stationed at Fort Polk at the time. He was in the Army and my brother was HELL since conception.

Summer of 1978; my mother, brother and I moved back to Kansas City, Kansas when my father got stationed in Korea for a year. We lived in a house right across the street from my mothers parents, my grandma and grandpa Johansen. This is about the time I can still remember back to.

What I remember is that my mother would bring my brother and I home boxes, the bigger the box the better; we loved playing in boxes.

1979

Summer on 1979 my father came back to the states from Korea and moved us back to Louisiana.
