Christ-Mass 2016

I don’t necessarily have a problem with Christ-Mass (aka Christmas); it’s fun, I love decorating with lights and etc… Spending time with family, friends, eating all the wonderful foods and etc… I only have two problems with Christmas. Gifts; it’s not the giving I have a problem with, it’s the rest of the greedy, ungrateful, selfish, commercialized BS that goes with it. That; and how do you celebrate this Catholic/Pagan holiday without braking the 1st Commandment, paying tribute to other foreign gods besides my own?

I know this is going to piss off a lot of people. I was basically just called unamerican this morning because I don’t celebrate said holiday. That and many people are still brainwashed into thinking it is Jesus’s birthday, so I still get slack from my family over that one. Some of them think I am part of some “occult” because I don’t believe the way they do… Actually, I am but I am not. According to some translations, anything “spiritual” is of the “occult”. Other translations only refer to the magical, mystical or metaphysical as being “occult”. But if you look up the original meaning of the word, it means to hide or to cover up.

So Christmas is of the occult, because they use false information to coverup or to hide the true origin and meanings of Christ-Mass. Not only that but from my research; Jesus was born around September, not December. Not that I have anything against Catholics or Pagans; personally, I think we should let the Pagans have their holiday back and quit trying to claim it as our own. If you wish to celebrate Jesus’s birthday, we should do it in September.

I just have a hard time with people trying to make me feel less Christian or less American because I choose to exercise my 1st Amendment right: “Freedom of Religion”. That and what does my God employ me to do? Have wisdom! I may not know everything, but I know what I know; and I know this holiday not to be a Christian one. So for those with more wisdom then myself; how does one celebrate this holiday without paying tribute to other gods/religions to appease my friends and family that are still blind and brainwashed, and appease my God (aka “The Great Spirit”) at the same time?

I do still enjoy spending time with friends and family during this time, though I usually just work and enjoy the extra pay. I’m sure I wont go to Hell for celebrating Christmas, but it just feels wrong to me. That being said; I do miss some of the decorations, especially the lights. (:
